Hanwha expand Wisenet Q camera options

News Post Image

Hanwha Techwin has further strengthened its Wisenet Q camera series with the introduction of 24 new H.265 models. The new additions to the Wisenet Q series include 2 and 5 megapixel bullet cameras, domes and vandal-resistant domes. System designers can also choose from models that are supplied with fixed or motorised varifocal lenses. All are true day/night (ICR) cameras and feature lens distortion correction (LDC). They also benefit from enhanced wide dynamic range (WDR) that performs at up to 120dB to produce clear images from scenes containing a challenging mix of bright and dark areas that normally result in overexposed or underexposed images. The 5 megapixel models are new to the Wisenet Q series whilst the 2 megapixel bullet cameras and domes supersede their older models.

All 24 new cameras support multiple streaming with the choice of H.265, H.264 or MJPEG compression. Their bandwidth-friendly credentials are enhanced by WiseStream II - a complementary compression technology that dynamically controls encoding by balancing quality and compression according to the movement in the image. Bandwidth efficiency is improved by up to 99% compared to current H.264 technology when WiseStream II is combined with H.265 compression. As such WiseStream II reduces the total cost of ownership of a video surveillance system by minimising the storage and bandwidth requirements for high definition cameras

Aiphone offer IP apartment intercom system

News Post Image

The new IP Apartment Intercom system from Aiphone is a pure IP based solution that can be connected directly onto a network infrastructure without the need for additional system components such as servers and dedicated distributors. Installation time and cost is further minimised by the availability of entrance and room stations which feature PoE for easy wiring. The Aiphone IP Apartment Intercom system supports up to 9,999 units deployed across 99 interconnected buildings. Regardless of the size of the initial project, with no server required and no licence fees, it couldn’t be simpler to include additional stations when new accommodation units or towers are added. For mixed purpose buildings and campuses requiring a higher level of security the IP Apartment Intercom system can be integrated with Aiphone’s full IP perimeter and call forwarding system to provide emergency broadcasts and site control.
